Course Overview: This course provides participants with an understanding of the concept of Building Information Modeling and introduces the tools for parametric design, analysis and documentation. Participants will be able to navigate the user interface, use basic drawing, editing, and viewing tools, as well as understand the basics of a full structural project, from linking in an architectural model to construction documents.

Who should attend: This course is designed for both AEC professionals and students of construction related programs/courses.

Prerequisites: Basic computer skills are required. Knowledge of CAD software is an added value. It is highly recommended that participants have experience and knowledge in architecture, structural engineering, and their terminologies. Structural design, drafting, or engineering experience is also highly recommended.
